Following his turbulent high school years, Bob committed his life to Christ at a Campus Crusade high school camp for students. He attended Menlo College and the University of California where he earned a B.S. in Economics. While attending college he was deeply involved in campus ministries. After graduation he became a licensed real estate agent and worked for a major land development corporation in Southern California. Shortly thereafter, he felt the Lord's calling to enter the ministry. Two weeks after his marriage to Becky Nicholas, they drove to Dallas, Texas for Bob to enter Dallas Theological Seminary. During the next four years, he earned a Masters of Theology degree, majoring in Christian Education. His Master's Project was the development of a course that would strengthen Christian marriages. Following graduation, he served as a youth director in New Jersey for five years. Then, with two children (Anne and Clark) he moved to take over the pastorate of a struggling church in Phoenix, Arizona. After serving in Phoenix for six years, the Lord had greatly strengthened that body of believers, and in 1986 Bob responded to the Lord's leading and came to Grants Pass, by then with one additional child, Nicholas. In 1988, Bob joined the staff at Calvary Crossroads, and has continued teaching the Word of God as well as discipling future spiritual leaders for the Rogue Valley.
