 ARMY Chaplain

Serving on a military base in Kansas

Prayer needs:

Physical and spiritual strength for Terry on a 15 month deployment to Iraq. Terry is a brigade chaplain, supervising other chaplains, along with preaching, Bible studies and counseling responsibilities. Pray for spiritual quickening in the lives of many young men and women who are spiritually dead and for growth among the group of believers.

Susan remains at Fort Riley with an extensive and varied ministry mentoring Army wives and teaching and leading in the Protestant Women of the Chapel, many of whom have their husbands deployed to Iraq. Tim, our oldest still works for Intel in Portland and serves in the Oregon Air National Guard. Sarah and Matt are in college in Kansas and living at Fort Riley with Susan while Terry is deployed. Appreciate prayer for wisdom in God's leading for their lives.

• That we would be able to obtain property for the Sounds of Promise U.S. base in Grants Pass
• For wisdom as we consider bringing the ministry to Sounds of Promise to additional orphanages in other nations

Serving with Operation Mobilization

• Pray that I will see opportunities for building stronger relationships with people I already know, so that they would see Christ’s light within me. Pray that they would desire that light to be in them or to grow more if they already know Christ as Savior.
• Pray that in the work that I do in the office will be organized, correctly done, and in a timely manner. That I will continue to keep Colossians 3:23-24 always my focus.
• Pray that the new team arriving to work with Operation Mobilization Ireland will quickly bond as a team and the work will move ahead smoothly.
• Pray that heart will be ready to hear and receive the good news of Christ Jesus, as we reach out to the youth of the Y-Zone, a youth coffee bar.
